Newton City is a city in the Baker County, Georgia, United States. The city has a population of 851 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 799, giving it the 356th largest population among Georgia. Its area is just over 3.02 mi˛ (7.82 sq km), of which, 2.91 square miles (7.54 sq km) of it is land and 0.11 square miles (0.28 sq km) of it is water, making it the 293rd largest by size in Georgia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 851 people in the city, organized into 320 households, and 228 families living in the city.
