Newport Town is a United States town located in the Vermillion County, Indiana, United States. In 2000, the population was 578. Its population was estimated at 542 in July 2008, making it the 176th least populous in Indiana. The town extends throughout a territory of 0.81 miē (2.1 kmē ), makes it the 326th largest by total area in Indiana.
