Newport City is a city in the Pend Oreille County, Washington, United States. In 2000, city's population was 1921 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 2126, It is Washington's 283rd largest by population . The city has a total area of 1.06 square miles (2.75 square kilometre), making it the 116th smallest by size in Washington.
