Newport Borough is a borough located in Perry County, Pennsylvania, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. Newport Borough had an official population of 1506 in 2000. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 1463, It is Pennsylvania's 729th largest by population . According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.33 square miles (0.85 sq km), makes it the 179th smallest by total area in Pennsylvania.
