Newhalen City, Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska is a city located in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 160. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 128, It is 204th most populous in Alaska. The city has a total area of 8.33 sq mi (21.57 square kilometre), of which, 6.05 square miles (15.67 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.28 square miles (5.91 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 95th smallest by total area among Alaska.

As of the census of 2000, there were 160 people, 39 households, and 37 families residing in the city.
