Newellton Town is a town located in Tensas Parish, Louisiana, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Newellton Town is home to 1482 inhabitants. The town's estimated population as of July 2008 was 1250, It is the 224th most populous in the U.S. state of Louisiana. Its area is just over 0.87 sq mi (2.25 kmē), of which, 0.76 square miles (1.97 kmē) of it is land and 0.11 square miles (0.28 kmē) of it is water, it is the 31st smallest in terms of geographical size.
