Newberry City is a city located in the Alachua County, Florida, United States. As of 2000 the population was 3316. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 4247, It is 521st most populous in Florida. It has total area of 45.97 square miles (119.06 sq km), of which, 44.92 square miles (116.34 sq km) of it is land and 1.05 square miles (2.72 sq km) of it is water, it is the 24th largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.
