Newark City is a city in the New Castle County, Delaware, United States. In 2000, the population was 28547. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 29886, It is fourth most populous in Delaware. The city has a total area of 8.92 mi˛ (23.1 square kilometre), making it Delaware's sixth largest by total area.
