New Wilmington Borough is a United States borough located in the Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of 2000 the population was 2452. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 2253, It is Pennsylvania's 542nd largest by population . The borough comprises an area of 1.08 mi˛ (2.8 sq km), of which, 1.06 square miles (2.75 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 693rd largest by total area in Pennsylvania.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2452 people, 577 households, and 324 families residing in the borough. The population density was 2313.2 people per square mile (893.13/km˛), it is the 556th most populated borough in terms of population density. There were 611 housing units at an average density of 576.4 per square mile (222.55/km˛). The average household size was 2.28 persons, and the average family size was 2.9 persons.
