Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 1250, It is 34th most populous in North Dakota. It is spread over 1.53 square miles (3.96 sq km), of which, 1.51 square miles (3.91 sq km ) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 51st largest by total area in North Dakota.
