The census designated place has a total area of 27.43 miē (71.04 kmē), of which, 20.36 square miles (52.73 kmē) of it is land and 7.06 square miles (18.29 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 18th largest by total area among Wisconsin. It is ranks sixth in the size of its inland waterways in Wisconsin.
