New Paltz Village is a United States city located in the Ulster County, New York, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 6034 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 6553, making it the 294th most populous in New York. The city extends throughout a territory of 1.76 square miles (4.56 kmē ), of which, 1.73 square miles (4.48 kmē) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 kmē) of it is water, it is the 584th largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6034 people, 1898 households, and 586 families residing in the city.
