New Market City is a United States city located in the Taylor County, Iowa, United States. In 2000, city's population was 456 inhabitants. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 394, making it Iowa's 499th largest. The city extends throughout a territory of 0.44 square miles (1.14 kmē ), makes it the 276th smallest by total area in Iowa.
