New Madrid City, New Madrid County, Missouri is a city located in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 3334 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 3012, It is the 178th most populous in the U.S. state of Missouri. Its area is just over 4.52 miē (11.71 kmē), it is the 134th largest by area in the U.S. state of Missouri.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3334 residents, 1275 households, and 882 families in the city.
