New Hope City is a city in the Marion County, Tennessee, United States. In 2000, the population was 1043. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1048, It is the 127th least populous in the U.S. state of Tennessee. The city comprises an area of 10.38 mi˛ (26.88 sq km), of which, 10.32 square miles (26.73 sq km) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 82nd largest by total area in Tennessee.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1043 residents, 5369 households, and 3232 families in the city. The population density was 101.1 people per square mile (39.03/km˛), it would be the 15th least densely populated city in the U.S. state of Tennessee. There were 433 housing units at an average density of 42 per square mile (16.22/km˛). The average household size was 2.61 persons, and the average family size was 3.02 persons.
