New Hartford City is a United States city located in the Butler County, Iowa, United States. As of 2000 the population was 659. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 613, It is the 404th most populous in the U.S. state of Iowa. Its area is just over 0.51 sq mi (1.32 kmē), making it Iowa's 626th largest by total area.
