New Cumberland Borough, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania is a borough located in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. It is home to over 7349 people (2000 census). According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the borough is 7048, It is the 173rd most populous in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. Its area is just over 1.67 square miles (4.33 square kilometre), makes it the 462nd largest by total area in Pennsylvania.

In the borough the population is diverse age-wise, with 21.2% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 30.1% from 25 to 44, 23.4% from 45 to 64, and 18.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 92.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.3 males. The median age is 40.5 years, The median age of males was 39 years, for females the median age was 41.9 years. The racial makeup of the borough was 97.2% White, 0.64% Black or African American, 0.1% American Indian, 0.72% Asian, 0.05% Native Hawaiian, 0.88% from two or more races and 0.41% Other races.
