New Braunfels City is a one of the Comal and Guadalupe counties, Texas, located in Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 36494 inhabitants. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 53547, It is Texas's 63rd largest by population . The city comprises an area of 29.4 square miles (76.15 sq km), of which, 29.25 square miles (75.76 sq km) of it is land and 0.15 square miles (0.39 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 78th largest by total area in Texas.
