New Boston City is a city in the Mercer County, Illinois, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 632 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 616, It is the 837th largest by population in the U.S. state of Illinois. The city encompasses an area of 1.39 sq mi (3.6 kmē ), of which, 0.94 square miles (2.43 kmē) of it is land and 0.45 square miles (1.17 kmē) of it is water, it is the 571st largest by area in the U.S. state of Illinois.
