New Bedford City is a one of the Bristol County, Massachusetts, located in Northeastern Region (New England) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 93768 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 91365, It is seventh most populous in Massachusetts. It has total area of 24.03 square miles (62.24 kmē), of which, 20.12 square miles (52.11 kmē) of it is land and 3.9 square miles (10.1 kmē) of it is water, making it Massachusetts's 20th largest by total area. It is ranks 16 in the size of its inland waterways in Massachusetts.
