New Augusta Town is a one of the Perry County, Mississippi, located in Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the New Augusta Town is home to 715 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 693, It is 206th most populous in Mississippi. Its area is just over 5.31 mi˛ (13.75 square kilometre), of which, 5.16 square miles (13.36 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.14 square miles (0.36 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 106th largest by area in the U.S. state of Mississippi.
