Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 693, It is 206th most populous in Mississippi. Its area is just over 5.31 mi˛ (13.75 square kilometre), of which, 5.16 square miles (13.36 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.14 square miles (0.36 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 106th largest by area in the U.S. state of Mississippi.
