New Albany City is a city located in the Union County, Mississippi, United States. New Albany City had an official population of 7607 in 2000. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 8178, It is 43rd most populous in Mississippi. It is spread over 17.11 miē (44.31 kmē), of which, 17.05 square miles (44.16 kmē ) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 kmē) of it is water, it is the 27th largest by area in the U.S. state of Mississippi.
