As of 2000 the population was 13456. making it Pennsylvania's 70th largest. The town has a total area of 4.72 square miles (12.22 square kilometre), of which, 4.71 square miles (12.2 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 120th largest by total area among Pennsylvania.
