Ness County, Kansas is a county located in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The county has a population of 3454 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 2945, It is 20th least populous county in Kansas. The county has a total area of 1075 square miles (2784.24 sq km), of which, 1074.75 square miles (2783.59 sq km) of it is land and 0.26 square miles (0.67 sq km) of it is water, it is the ninth largest by area in the U.S. state of Kansas.
