Nelson City is a United States city located in the Pickens and Cherokee counties, Georgia, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 626 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 928, It is Georgia's 197th smallest by population . It has total area of 0.9 square miles (2.33 square kilometre), makes it the 99th smallest by total area in Georgia.
