Navajo County is a county in the United States of Arizona. It is home to over 97470 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 112757, It is the ninth largest in terms of population. It is spread over 9959.49 miē (25794.96 kmē), of which, 9953.18 square miles (25778.62 kmē ) of it is land and 6.31 square miles (16.34 kmē) of it is water, giving it the fourth largest by total area among Arizona's county. It is ranks ninth in the size of its inland waterways in Arizona.

As of the census of 2000, there were 97470 people, 30043 households, and 23069 families residing in the county. The population density was 9.8 people per square mile (3.78/kmē), it is the tenth most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Arizona. There were 47413 housing units at an average density of 4.8 per square mile (1.85/kmē). The average household size was 3.17 persons, and the average family size was 3.68 persons. In the county the population was spread out, with 35.4% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 25.3% from 25 to 44, 20.4% from 45 to 64, and 10% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 98.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.2 males. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 112757, The racial makeup of the county was 50.21% White, 1.19% Black or African American, 46.63% American Indian, 0.42% Asian, 0.12% Native Hawaiian, and 1.43% from two or more races.
