Nashville City is a city located in the Howard County, Arkansas, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 4878 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 4815 in July 2008, It is Arkansas's 62nd largest by population . Its area is just over 4.61 square miles (11.94 kmē), of which, 4.57 square miles (11.84 kmē) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 kmē) of it is water, making it Arkansas's 114th largest by total area.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 4878 people, 1857 households, and 1180 families residing in the city. The population density was 1067.7 people per square mile (412.24/kmē), giving it the 76th most densely populated city among the Arkansas. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 27.6% under the age of 18, 9.6% from 18 to 24, 27% from 25 to 44, 19.2% from 45 to 64, and 16.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 89.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 83.4 males. The median age of the city's population was 35 years, the median age of male residents at 32.3 and the median age of female residents at 37.1. The racial makeup of the city was 59.96% White, 33.21% Black or African American, 0.25% American Indian, 1.23% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, 0.94% from two or more races and 4.39% Other races.
