Nashua City is a one of the Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, located in Northeastern Region (New England) of United States. In 2000, the population was 86605. Its population was estimated at 86576 in July 2008, It is the second largest in terms of population. It covers total area of 31.84 miē (82.47 kmē), of which, 30.89 square miles (80 kmē) of it is land and 0.95 square miles (2.46 kmē) of it is water, it is the eighth largest by area in the U.S. state of New Hampshire. It is ranks ninth in the size of its inland waterways in New Hampshire.

As of the census of 2000, there were 86605 people in the city, organized into 34614 households, and 22083 families residing in the city. The population density was 2803.5 people per square mile (1082.44/kmē), it is New Hampshire's fourth most densely populated city. There were 35387 housing units at an average density of 1145.6 per square mile (442.32/kmē). The average household size was 2.46 persons, and the average family size was 3.05 persons. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 24.7% under the age of 18, 8.1% from 18 to 24, 33.5% from 25 to 44, 22.2% from 45 to 64, and 11.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 97.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.2 males.
