Nash County is a United States county located in the United States of North Carolina. In 2000, county's population was 87420 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 93674, It is the 29th most populous county in the U.S. state of North Carolina. The county has a total area of 542.69 square miles (1405.56 kmē), of which, 540.27 square miles (1399.29 kmē) of it is land and 2.42 square miles (6.27 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 38th largest by total area among North Carolina's county.
