Naples City, Florida is a city of the Collier County, Florida, United States. In 2000, city's population was 20976 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 21532, making it the 132nd most populous in Florida. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 14.4 mi˛ (37.3 square kilometre), of which, 12.03 square miles (31.16 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.38 square miles (6.16 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 129th largest by size in Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 20976 people in the city, organized into 10803 households, and 6570 families living in the city. The population density was 1744.3 people per square mile (673.48/km˛), it is Florida's 431st most densely populated city. There were 16956 housing units at an average density of 1409.5 per square mile (544.21/km˛). The average household size was 1.92 and the average family size was 2.38. In the city the population was spread out, with 10.9% under the age of 18, 2.3% from 18 to 24, 14.5% from 25 to 44, 30% from 45 to 64, and 42.3% who were 65 or older. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 92.5% White, 4.65% Black or African American, 0.12% American Indian, 0.33% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, 2.07% from two or more races and 0.3% Other races.
