Naperville City is one of the city of DuPage and Will counties, Illinois, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. The population of the city was 128358 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 143117, It is the fourth most populous in the U.S. state of Illinois. The city encompasses an area of 35.52 sq mi (92 kmē ), of which, 35.38 square miles (91.63 kmē) of it is land and 0.14 square miles (0.36 kmē) of it is water, it is the ninth largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 128358 people in the city, organized into 43751 households, and 33644 families residing in the city. The population density was 3628.3 people per square mile (1400.89/kmē), making it the 110th most densely populated city in Illinois.
