Nance County is one of the 93 county of Nebraska, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 4038 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 3550, It is Nebraska's 62nd most populous county. The county comprises an area of 448.04 square miles (1160.42 kmē), of which, 441.32 square miles (1143.01 kmē) of it is land and 6.73 square miles (17.43 kmē) of it is water, it is the 14th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Nebraska.
