Murrells Inlet Cdp is a census designated place located in the Georgetown County, South Carolina, United States. In 2000, the population was 5519. It is 79th most populous in South Carolina. It is spread over 7.51 sq mi (19.45 square kilometre), of which, 7.34 square miles (19.01 square kilometre ) of it is land and 0.17 square miles (0.44 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 69th largest by total area among South Carolina.
