Murray County is a county located in the United States of Oklahoma. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Murray County is home to 12623 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 12784, It is the 50th largest in terms of population. It has total area of 424.92 miē (1100.54 kmē), of which, 418.25 square miles (1083.26 kmē) of it is land and 6.67 square miles (17.28 kmē) of it is water, it is the second smallest by area in the U.S. state of Oklahoma.

In the county Population was distributed with 24.2% under the age of 18, 8% from 18 to 24, 25.1% from 25 to 44, 24.3% from 45 to 64, and 18.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 97.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.8 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 12784, The racial makeup of the county was 81.05% White, 2.21% Black or African American, 11.66% American Indian, 0.34% Asian, 0.03% Native Hawaiian, and 4.72% from two or more races.
