Murfreesboro City, Rutherford County, Tennessee is a city located in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 68816 as per the Census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 101753, making it Tennessee's sixth largest. It has total area of 39.2 mi˛ (101.53 square kilometre), of which, 38.99 square miles (100.98 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.21 square miles (0.54 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 11th largest in terms of geographical size.
