Muncie City is a city located in the Delaware County, Indiana, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 67430 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 64975, It is the eighth largest in terms of population. The city has a total area of 24.2 sq mi (62.68 kmē), of which, 24.18 square miles (62.63 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, making it the 16th largest by size in Indiana.

As of the census of 2000, there were 67430 people in the city, organized into 27322 households, and 14597 families living in the city.
