Mulvane City is one of the city of Sedgwick and Sumner counties, Kansas, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 5155. In July 2008, its estimated population was 5866, making it Kansas's 55th largest. The city has a total area of 2.28 sq mi (5.91 sq km), it is the 84th largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 5155 people, 1896 households, and 1444 families residing in the city. The population density was 2261.1 people per square mile (873.02/kmē), it is the 32nd most populated city in terms of population density.
