Mountain View City is a city located in Stone County, Arkansas, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Mountain View City is home to 2876 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 3112, making it the 100th most populous in Arkansas. Its area is just over 6.83 miē (17.69 kmē), of which, 6.82 square miles (17.66 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, making it Arkansas's 79th largest by total area.
