Mountain Brook City is a United States city located in the Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 20604 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 21061, making it Alabama's 25th largest. The city extends throughout a territory of 12.24 sq mi (31.7 sq km ), it is the 104th largest by area in the U.S. state of Alabama.
