Mount Zion City, Carroll County, Georgia is a city located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. Mount Zion City had an official population of 1275 in 2000. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 1576, It is the 303rd most populous in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is spread over 9.92 sq mi (25.69 sq km), of which, 9.75 square miles (25.25 sq km ) of it is land and 0.17 square miles (0.44 sq km) of it is water, making it the 79th largest by size in Georgia.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 1275 people, 434 households, and 352 families living in the city. The population density was 130.7 people per square mile (50.46/kmē), it is Georgia's 44th least densely populated city. There were 467 housing units at an average density of 47.9 per square mile (18.49/kmē). The average household size was 2.94 persons, and the average family size was 3.27 persons. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 31.3% under the age of 18, 8.2% from 18 to 24, 34.4% from 25 to 44, 19.3% from 45 to 64, and 6.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 107 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.9 males. The median age is 31 years, The median age of males was 29.6 years, for females the median age was 33.3 years. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 1200 White, 48 Black or African American, 3 American Indian, 12 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 9 from two or more races and 3 Ohter races.
