Mount Union Borough is a one of the Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, located in Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, borough's population was 2504 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 2344, It is the 533rd largest in terms of population. The borough extends throughout a territory of 1.16 mi˛ (3 square kilometre ), of which, 1.13 square miles (2.93 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Pennsylvania's 650th largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2504 people, 1166 households, and 685 families residing in the borough. The population density was 2221.6 people per square mile (857.76/km˛), it is 589th most densely populated borough in Pennsylvania. The population's age distribution was 25.6% under the age of 18, 8% from 18 to 24, 24.6% from 25 to 44, 23.2% from 45 to 64, and 18.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 81.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 75.7 males. The median age is 38.2 years, the median age of male residents at 35.7 and the median age of female residents at 40.4. The racial or ethnic makeup of the borough was 2166 White, 276 Black or African American, 1 American Indian, Asian, Native Hawaiian, 53 from two or more races and 8 Ohter races.
