Mount Pleasant City is a United States city located in the Henry County, Iowa, United States. The city has a population of 8751 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 8775, It is 40th most populous in Iowa. The city spans an area of 7.71 miē (19.97 kmē), of which, 7.69 square miles (19.92 kmē) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, it is the 41st largest by area in the U.S. state of Iowa.
