Mount Olive City is a city located in Macoupin County, Illinois, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. The population of the city was 2150 as per the 2000 census data. It covers total area of 1.1 miē (2.85 kmē), it is the 672nd largest by area in the U.S. state of Illinois.
