Mount Ida City is a city in the Montgomery County, Arkansas, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 981 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 945, It is the 204th largest in terms of population. It has total area of 1.66 square miles (4.3 kmē), of which, 1.64 square miles (4.25 kmē) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 286th largest by total area in Arkansas.
