Morton County is a county located in the United States of Kansas. It is home to over 3496 people (2000 census). Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 2978, It is 21st least populous county in Kansas. Its area is just over 729.94 square miles (1890.54 sq km), of which, 729.92 square miles (1890.48 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 53rd largest by total area among Kansas's county.

The population density was 4.8 people per square mile (1.85/kmē), making its Kansas's 24th least densely populated county.
