Morton City is a city located in the Cochran County, Texas, United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 2249 as per the Census data. The July 2008 population estimate is 1772, It is the 596th largest by population in the U.S. state of Texas. It covers total area of 1.41 square miles (3.65 square kilometre), making it Texas's 449th smallest by total area.
