Morgan County is a one of the county from Indiana's 92 counties, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 66689 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 70668, It is the 22nd most populous county in the U.S. state of Indiana. Its area is just over 409.39 mi˛ (1060.32 sq km), of which, 406.47 square miles (1052.75 sq km) of it is land and 2.92 square miles (7.56 sq km) of it is water, it is the 38th largest by area in the U.S. state of Indiana.

The population density was 164.1 people per square mile (63.36/km˛), it is Indiana's 24th most densely populated county. Its population was estimated at 70668 in July 2008, The racial makeup of the county was 97.98% White, 0.64% Black or African American, 0.23% American Indian, 0.37% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, and 0.75% from two or more races.
