Moreno Valley City is a United States city located in the Riverside County, California, United States. As of 2000 the population was 142381. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 190871, It is the 29th most populous in the U.S. state of California. The city has a total area of 51.58 sq mi (133.59 kmē), of which, 51.23 square miles (132.69 kmē) of it is land and 0.36 square miles (0.93 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 35th largest by total area among California.

As of the census of 2000, there were 142381 people, 39225 households, and 33363 families living in the city.
