Moorhead City is one of the city of Sunflower County, Mississippi, located towards the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 2573 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 2342 in July 2008, making it Mississippi's 100th largest. Its area is just over 1.3 sq mi (3.37 square kilometre), of which, 1.29 square miles (3.34 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 104th smallest by total area among Mississippi.

The population density was 1988.9 people per square mile (767.92/kmē), it is the 16th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Mississippi.
