Moore City is a United States city located in the Cleveland County, Oklahoma, United States. In 2000, city's population was 41138 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 52615, It is the ninth most populous in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. It is spread over 21.87 sq mi (56.64 sq km), of which, 21.73 square miles (56.28 sq km ) of it is land and 0.14 square miles (0.36 sq km) of it is water, it is the 43rd largest in terms of geographical size.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 41138 people, 14848 households, and 11565 families living in the city. The population density was 1892.8 people per square mile (730.81/kmē), making its Oklahoma's 28th most densely populated city. There were 15801 housing units at an average density of 727.2 per square mile (280.77/kmē). The average household size was 2.75 and the average family size was 3.13. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 29.4% under the age of 18, 9.3% from 18 to 24, 32.5% from 25 to 44, 21.5% from 45 to 64, and 7.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 93.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.6 males. The median age was 32 years, the median age of male residents at 31 and the median age of female residents at 33. The racial makeup of the city was 84.63% White, 2.92% Black or African American, 4.14% American Indian, 1.62% Asian, 0.05% Native Hawaiian, 4.89% from two or more races and 1.75% Other races.
